Hey, thanks dudes!!!

Well, I've been very busy the last few months and not online a whole lot...we finally bought our house and have moved in...with this economy and the credit crunch, it's been a very long ordeal to say the least.

The only bad thing with the house is that where it's at, high-speed internet is not available, so I'm back on dialup for a while until they finish running the fiber optic cable through here....and I don't know how much longer that will be but there is supposed to be $$ available to them to offset the costs.

Thanks for the invite to the MySpace page, I just accepted this AM as I just now seen it lol....do'h!!

So, with that said, I'm around usually but with dialup being so slow, it's difficult at best to navigate around the web, and YouTube and other sites are a no-go due to speed issues....grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Well, it does suck...but we couldn't pass this house up....paid probably at least $50K less than it's market value due to the housing market and with the mortgage, insurance, and other "fees" monthly it's right at $1K a month....can't beat that for a 10 year old house, acre of land, quiet cul-de-sac, and basement.

Thanks...we got really, really lucky with it...it had to be sold as part of the divorce decree between the couple and it was actually owned by the sister of one of our good friends who live just down the road from us now....it never hit the open market and was a word-of-mouth kinda thing...they told us the asking price, we made an offer and ran with it when they accepted.

The downside is that I still have to pay 20% down cash and finance the rest, which took about 2/3 of my savings I've built up, but the housing market is not going to be this way forever, it will eventually pick back up again and put our house value way over what we paid for it...

I still havent' put together my studio yet, I have to pick up some shelving/organizing stuff today from either Lowe's or Home Depot so I'll have a place for my stuff, but I have a small practice/studio room...eventually when I finish our basement, thats where I'm going to have my permanent studio.

I've been fixing stuff as I go along and see stuff, changed out all the locks/deadbolts, replaced lights, receptacles, switches etc. as I find them...and bought a riding lawn-mower lol...I couldn't or wouldn't push mow this beast lol....it takes 2 hrs riding....bigger than it appears and that's with a 46" mowing deck lol....

This has been an incredibly stressful, yet fun time for us...we can finally say that a house is ours and we aren't planning to ever move again....this is home...I love it....it's gorgeous inside...mostly hardwood floors and tile, carpet in the bedrooms....cathedral ceilings and textured walls throughout.
