Alright-by the title you can tell this is just kinda post your lick so other people can learn it, and allows you to remember what you've learned. Post as many as you want!! :D

Alright-here we go. This first one is off Thunderstruck modified a bit
(You can do the same pattern anywhere..pretty cool

I've been messing with Bach's Toccata in Dminor:
Add slight echo with slight reverb and medium-high distortion to experience the beauty of this Bachian masterpiece.

I doubt anybody will actually try what I said above, but trust me it's worth it ;)

JS Bach's Toccata in Dminor:
E-0-5-0-7-0-8-0-5-0-7-0-8-0-10-7|0-8-0-10-0-12-0-8-0-10-0-12
B-------------------------------------|---------------------------
G-------------------------------------|---------------------------
D-------------------------------------|---------------------------
A-------------------------------------|---------------------------
E-------------------------------------|---------------------------

Mix it up, go back down, have fun with it. I've been mixing that in to some D-Minor chord progressions I have, its brilliant, JS Bach was a man who had a EAR for music.

That's pretty cool. I dont have reverb though, so i cant do it justice.

Here's one every Yngwie fan knows-oh well..

Posting licks is not a bad idea, but there is lots of tabs in the web, so maybe it's harder to feel some intrest.

Anyway, there's something well-known that I learnt some years ago, from a song you surely know... It can be used as an idea for some fingerings.

(I take it from 12th freet, but it's played from the 15th)

--12-13-12-10---------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------13-12-10-9-10-12-10-9-------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------9-10-9-7-------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------10-9-7-6-7-9-7-6----------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------8-(7)-------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First 3 notes are a triplet, you have to do a hammer and a pull off. Play the next one with an upstroke and then make alternate picking.
When shifting to the G string, use the same fingering you used in E and B strings.
Last note (7) is not played there: a lick using open strings takes place. You'll have to start from 15th freet to play both parts. The second it's easier to perform, but connecting the two parts is very difficult.
Be patient with this, don't feel overconfident or your friends will notice mistakes and laugh at you!

Any good C-Minor licks? I might use one if you can find me one that sounds pure enough on my next composition. :)

I believe it's diminished, i took it from a diminished pattern i know. YOu need to sweep it really fast to sound cool ;)

ImitationSHREDder - July 16, 2010 05:31 PM (GMT)
ive got no clue where this is from i was just fiddilin around trying to play andy griffith like jason becker when this popped out.

|----3----|
e|-------5-------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--5-------5---8---7---5---7~~-------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

you can take that pattern almost every where. It may sound better in some places buy going 5---8---6 on the B if that makes sense. This has probably been used before but if it hasn't im sure it would make a great theme to a song if you move it around or maybe a good build up to another section. Anyway, same as with the arppegio i posted you guys are free to put it where evver you would like, but if you ever use them in a song can you send me the song to see how it was used? I would love to hear it being played by someone else or get a feel for thier thought process.

on a side note: I talk waaaaaay too much right now i must be on my man-period. If i start seeing blood when i.......
