What do you think of him?

Most of his albums sound the same, but some songs are awesome.

17th Century Chicken Pickin' is just amazing.

He's a good player but like Malmsteen I think he limits himself by mostly playing in Harmonic minor all the time. The song you mentioned though Orz is amazing, definitely one of my fave guitar instrumentals.

Chris Impellitteri is a really good player IMO. I cannot believe how fast he plays sometimes - I've got his album 'Stand in Line' somewhere on vinyl. I seem to recall it was pretty good (I don't have a record player any more).

Yeah I used to have that album as well. Pretty good and with Bonnet on vocals.

Yeah - there is a version of 'Since you been gone' on that album. Which is not bad but it ends in a bit of a widdlefest, which I'm not sure was tastefully in keeping with the song. But what ever - still wicked shredding!

That's right HK. It starts off quite reserved but he really guns it at the end. Too many notes mate!! ;)

Have you guys heard his newer stuff?

His playing and tone really improved in 'Wicked Maiden' .

Sadly though, there aren't any instrumentals in the album...

Oh well, it's was released in Japan in Europe in 09 but the US version is coming out in 2011.

Meh, I'm hoping for some SHRED instrumentals.
