I would have to agree, Jason Becker and Mart Friedman were phenomenal!
James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett make a good team as well. they aren't anywhere close to virtuosos though

I think when Marty was in Megadeth him and Dave were an amazing duo.

I'm not sure you could even call it a duo considering the power Mustaine holds in Megadeth. He could basically tell what Friedman could and couldn't do.

Becker/Friedman for me though I wish the Paul Gilbert/Bruce Bouillet combo had of lasted a little longer than it did.

I don't think Dave messed too much with Marty's soloing (could be worng though). Either way, the guitar work on RIP is amazing...their styles compliment each other really well.

Didn't even know they existed and for Christmas my folks had asked for help at the record store telling them I was into guitar and had a list of the ones I owned. Man I was blown away :) Very nice x-mas gift

I'm going with Racer-X on this one . I also want to mention Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan ( Eat Em and Smile )...not 2 guitar players but amazing none the less.
