Title: Video Games

Steve5513 - March 21, 2009 01:39 PM (GMT)
Anyone else here play any video games?

I've started playing Rome:Total War against other players online but i really suck, anyone else own this game?

Muramasa - March 21, 2009 05:20 PM (GMT)

Old arcade video games are very enjoyable too.

I think Out Run and Shinobi, both with great music, were two of the best. Also, as someone pointed, 80's games have some "neo-clasical" music on it!

Oh ye, you're definately spot on about the music there. You heard of a game called Chrono Trigger? Has some truly beautiful music in it, and that's not a word i use often:

Muramasa - March 21, 2009 08:05 PM (GMT)
That game has 5 stars music...
Today's graphics are stunning, but I still love MAME games.

This is a parody of Kungfu Master which made me laugh lots...

I wonder how can they play that shitty games... The one who made the kungfumaster parody also have funny videos about the matter. I have seen some horrible games in his videos!

Steve5513 - March 22, 2009 07:47 PM (GMT)
Yea, i agree. If i was a reviewer of crappy games like that i don't think i would be able to cope. That guy i posted in the link, he has reviewed multiple NES games where when you die, you have to start from the beginning of the game and has had to replay them multiple times to get footage.

The only game i ever really got the hang of and would play on an off... ive never really gotten a game i wanted to put the hours in, ecept the Sim games.

I loved Sim city when i was a kid, had the original one, then Sim city 2000, and now days i play the Sim's 2. I like them because i can go away and come back and as cheesy as it sounds i like games where loosing is like... well its more like not being sucessful haha, and as lame as it sounds i like making odd but happy familys in Sim's... plus its always sweet making lesbian couples.

Oh yeah

Steve5513 - March 23, 2009 03:53 PM (GMT)
The only enjoyment i get out of Sims games is bricking the Sim/s up in one room and leavng it for an hour then coming back to see how muany times they've wet themselves on the floor and that they are starving to death. Or bricking them in a room and setting it on fire.

Well see these days im not really into violent computer games... they bore me... and also kind of conflict with my morality. Not that i really play them, but i think its kind of cool to have a positive message is all be like 'be like the masses and make a happy family' or the flip side 'i feel i cant controll my life so will controll these images on the screens life' like an exflatmate of mine used to do... point being i think its a little more positive than say...

Unreal Tournament, Quake etc...

I like RPGS, i played one recently called MechQuest, it's awesome.

It's a free but sort of not really free if you want the whole game Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game(MMORPG FOR SHORT). It's an MMORPG because other people play it... using the internet online. Believe it or not you can actually go to the duel arena there and fight REAL LIVE genuine computer controlled versions of other players characters because it's an MMORPG.

Or you could try Adventure Quest which is made by the same company, or if you've tried Adventure Quest and don't like it and want to play something kind of sort of the exact same thing but with kind of sort of not really different armour and weapons try Dragonfable which is also made by the same company!!!!

(The games mentioned above suck, i am simply being sarcastic)

Wow I have a buttload and I mean load of PC games, used to buy 2 a week for some reason or another? Load them and just maybe never try them again. But I get hooked on the rts type games like Age of Empires and Age of Mythology, right now I have Rise of Nations in my pc and just about every other game I have is in a box somewhere, Ohh World Of Warcraft killed 2 years of my life! ANyone else hooked on Warcraft?

Alsc like Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2. BF 2 is much better I think because if almost forces you to play as a team, and to mush better results. I know alot of people like being the Lone Wolf and climbing the tallest tower to snipe the crapo out of ppl but the team play of BF 2 makes it a great game!

Anyone here play chess?

I wasted some 2 years of my life on it back in junior high. I had an on/off relationships with the game, though: I first played it for less than half a year, then had a break for months, and then got on it again only to see another break of a few months to come. Then I quit some time after the first installment was released.

I loved (well, still love, but I don't play anything much anymore) the WarCraft games. WCIII and its installment are wonderful games.

I like a bunch of old PS1/PS2 RPGS.

Final Fantasy, Shin Megami Tensei, Arc the Lad, Star Ocean, and a bunch of others,

ImitationSHREDder - July 6, 2011 09:56 AM (GMT)
I never really played any of the PS1 RPGs. Someone mentioned Chrono Trigger, my cousin played Chono Cross (which i think is the sequel) i would sit and watch her play RPGs all the time. Seriously, i've seen her beat all the Final Fantasies from VII to I think XII.

Personally, i mostly play games like Modern Warfare now, but i still like games from the PS2. I played "Star Ocean: Til the End of Time", and that was probably my favorite PS2 game, also loved Kingdom Hearts 2. Dark Cloud 2, Radiata Stories (or something like that), Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter... list goes on into infinity.

I think i spent 1/3 of my childhood glued to a screen of some sort.
