To be honest I'm not really into MAB. IMO this guy heard Yngwie at some point and became hell bent on becoming faster than him. He's got talent yeah but he's just too fast for my liking. I haven't seen the Dvd's in question but I'm sure you could download them for free.

No I'd heard him play long before I seen that on the internet. It's a pretty dumb title considering that Malmsteen would blow him away imo. :)

MAB is certainly an amazing shredder, but I think with him the speed comes first and the music comes second if you know what I mean.

Agree with some of the posters above. MAB is too much into the speed and showing off and not as interested in being melodic and clean playing (poor tone). I'll take Yngwie's playing over him any day.

its not that he's extremely fast. It is just he has so many effects it seems like he is.

Well said dude! Yngwie for a long time was basically just straight through his Marshall, no effects or gimmicks needed.

Some of his songs are pretty damn melodic, like No Boundaries for example. Theres also a vid on youtube of him doing this clean tapping thing but he does it with a lot of emotion and it's real good, i do agree that he does shred too much most of the time.

I agree that Batio is way overrated. The first time I tried to get into his music I thought "what the hell are these space sounds doing here". Way too many effects for my taste.

I even got bored of No Boundaries in a matter of few days. I don't mean to be disrespectful towards anyone, but I think Batio can't compose to save his life.

I give him credit for being one hell of a funny guy.

The one that has No Boundaries on it. That might be his best tune imo. I guess Speed Lives or Speed Kills than. Both versions of that song are on youtube.

get speed kills 1. its the best one, the other ones are just cash grabs. sk1 teaches alot of little tricks. it helped me alot.

and to all you guys who say he's over-rated, he was voted the fastest guitarist from guitar world. that does say something about his playing. sure his music sucks but dont knock him for his technical ability. he faster than yngwie. too many guys on here make yngwie out to be a god. chill out. he plays the same licks on every record. talk about redundant.

Fine. I'll give him credit for the incredible speed he has. Yeah Speed Kills 1 is the most entertaining. I got some friends who used to laugh at that video on how gay he acted on there. lol

I think MAB is fast and melodic and better than yngwie, yngwie plays the same runs over and over.

Ridiculous. Yngwie is way more melodic and way cooler. His tracks on Rising Force are incredible. Listen to that if all you think he does is play the same riffs over and over. MAB has a muddy tone and poor songs. Also he acts ridiculous. I was lmao with the double guitar, pony dance, and playing the guitar with hands in front instead of back. My thinking...
MAB is really fast guitarist,he had good tehnic,but as someone says,his 1st place is speed,and 2nd music.I dont like his songs,they are kind of boring for me.
And on the other side malmsteen is more melodical guitarist for me.
His songs are great,especially Rising force,odissey,eclipse(my fav)

And few words about Nitro...In that song i just like arpeggios,vocals are terrible.
