Thought I would start up a thread on excellent classical covers done on guitar with a rock setup. Here is a nice cover of Mozart's Turkish March done by Art Rodriguez. http://youtube.com/watch?v=s4XvEFc-wWw

Yes, JerryC was the first young guy on the Internet who started popularizing Johann Pachelbel's "Canon in D", however the man whose version is even more popular than JerryC's on the Net is funtwo. His video has got over 40 millions of views so far. Pachelbel on Speed!

ya but it was still a cover of Jerry C's, and for some reason all i can find on "funtwo" is that he can only play canon and the korean national nathiem

It is not funtwo's version, Jerry C is the original arranger for it, funtwo is just some kid who played it (one of those 50000 Korean kids who cannot play guitar if there life depended on it), and of course Pachabel the original writer for the real version.

That was wild, I liked that, cool.
It's great how many classical melodies are suited to the guitar.

Cool!! Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme also plays this one. On Extreme's first album from 1989, called "Extreme", Bettencourt plays this one as an intro to one of their songs.
