Great new sound. Yngwie is rocking on track 4.

So far I am on track 4 "Red Devil", and it is my favorite so far... very new sound for Yngwie, not his typical thing, which has been getting a bit repetitive, so this is a very very good tune! I am listening through the album with Neoshredder.

On track 7 (Be Careful What You Wish For). Very cool. I need more time to absorb this cd. Not bad so far. I wouldn't put it up to the 80's stuff.

Was just reading another thread... It looks like Baroque got to the album before us. I hope he chims into this thread. But yeah! this song is excellent...

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR \m/

i really don't like the huge use of delay, and at times it sounds really really bad.

Acousolysis - October 14, 2008 02:04 PM (GMT)
Guess I should go and get the new album. Sucks to be low on money all the time.

Same here. I'm looking forward to hearing it for sure. Dodgy cover but that's not what counts. :)

There's delay? which song has delay? I can't hear any.

acdc51502112 - October 14, 2008 04:21 PM (GMT)
every track

Acousolysis - October 14, 2008 07:49 PM (GMT)
Listening to it now. Can't judge the album yet, but Tim "Ripper" Owens seems to fit the sound. I never liked him in Judas Priest.

Acousolysis - October 14, 2008 08:49 PM (GMT)
The album was overall good, Yngwie's best one for a while. I'll have to dig into the album more later, because it didn't really feel like anything near stunning. The only outstanding songs were probably Magic City and Eleventh Hour.

acdc51502112 - October 14, 2008 09:06 PM (GMT)
ya eleventh hour was sick

PerpetualBurn - October 15, 2008 02:03 AM (GMT)
Eh...it was just plain ol' Yng. A couple goodies on there to be sure, but overall I'm pretty sure I've heard all this before. I was impressed with the new vocalist though. Eleventh Hour was probably my favorite and Caprici Di Diablo was some awesome shredding, but we've all heard him rip it up before

Perpetual Burn - Perpetual Flame.

Everyone make their own conclusion.

baroque - October 16, 2008 12:35 PM (GMT)

Acousolysis - October 16, 2008 01:05 PM (GMT)

Maybe people will go to your gigs thinking you are a Malmsteen tribute act! Hope you've got some Yngwie in your bands repertoire! ;)

I prefer Michael Vescera or Jeff Scott Soto, to me, Tim "ripper" Owens doesn't have that power, but his singing seems smooth.
