Write some neo-classical progressions!
This is a basic neo-classical progression
Am Dm G C F Bdim E7 Am
I've seen similar versions like on the arpeggio thread except that one has a Dm instead of Bdim. But yeah, it's fun to solo on this.

Are you playing those dim, and 7th chords, and even the major minors, with distortion on? Don't sound to good, as the distortion makes the notes clash. That why we don't usually use chords like that in metal.

Lovely to solo over if they are played on a keyboard with a good string sound though.....ahhh bliss! :D
Well just use the root and the fifth (power chords) if you're playing on electric guitar with distortion. But neo-classical chord progressions sound cooler on strings!
