If you have seen the article for neo-classical metal on wikipedia, you know what I mean. It is written extremely poorly with little to no good content. I am going to put some time into it tonight and over the next couple days, and I invite you to do the same and help me out.

just make sure you finish before anyone else writes anything, so nothing gets screwed up. Also this made me want to stab more people "Despite the fact that many metal musicians have cited classical composers as inspiration, neo classical metal is not the modern descendant of classical music.[5] As many critics and analysts have observed, heavy metal musicians (including neo-classical metal ones) focus on and borrow only superficial aspects of classical music, such as motifs, melodies, and scales. Heavy metal bands, including progressive and shred metal bands, generally do not try to observe the basic compositional and aesthetical exigencies of classical music. Classical music is erudite music, whereas heavy metal (including neo-classical metal) is popular music."

Yeah, that statement is completely false, I agree. Who is the writer of that to say such things about such a subjective thing as labeling a type of music. Tell me now... If I play all of Vivaldi's Four Seasons with three electric guitars and a bass guitar, isn't that classical music? Just played on modern instruments?

Ok, I have finished my first copies of the introduction and the history, I haven't touched anything else, but next up is the definition. Feel free to correct any errors that I made, I tried to do that myself but there will always be something wrong.

I completely re-did the history and intro sections due to the horrible job of whoever did it in the past. I will have to scrap and re-do the rest of it later. For now I am off to bed. Tell me what you think of my "History of Neo-classical metal"!
