Outside of all the main guitarists that you have been into for years which guitarist has caught your attention for the first time recently and become one of your established favourites?

Rob Marcello and Michael Angelo Batio

Rob is a great player. He blew me away when I first saw him on youtube. His Boss gt8 demo is amazing.
I know he has been out a while but I first heard Andy Timmons only a few years back and he is now one of my fave players. Check out a cool neoclassical song by him called 'Groove or Die'.

Yeah Guthrie is damn good. I bought a copy of 'Total Guitar' a while back in which he did a feature on the mixolydian scale which was amazing. He did his own thing with it which was cool.
Any of you guys like Neil Zaza? I got into him a few years back. Yngwie was singing his praises in an interview once and he usually plays his cards close to his chest when asked about other rock guitarists.

Can't judge Zaza yet because all I have heard by him really is "I'm Alright"... sounds good, very popy though. Wow, I cannot picture Malmsteen listening to "I'm Alright" lmao! only Bach

I'm definately a Guthrie Govan fan too - it amazes me how little he uses his little finger when playing - it's like he can play all that amazing stuff and he only needs three bloody fingers to do it! THE BASTARD!
