I already have the 350EX but I'm wondering if i should trade it for an MDX.I am pretty low on cash so I'm looking for reviews and maybe some opinions on the whole maple vs rosewood debate. So if anyone has anything they can tell me I'm all ears (eyes).

I wouldn't go for it. There are so many things that determine a guitars tone from the wood the body is made from, pickups, amp, effects etc so I wouldn't think that a maple neck as opposed to a rosewood one would have that much difference in tone. It's true that there is a certain snap to a maple board but it's not that big a deal for me. If I were looking to change guitars I'd sell the RG350 and buy an RG550 with a maple fretboard so you get that along with a much better guitar.

Yea, I guess your right but the inlays on the 550's arn't as cool =*( I'm thinking about making a project guitar and i've been scouring Jemsite and ebay for good deals. Just buying an old 550 (Yes i know there one of the sickest guitars Ibanez has ever dished out) Is out of my price range. I really don't want to sell the 350EX if i can help it, it's my first guitar... )*=.
