The funny thing is, most technical death metal bands and such sound exactly like 80's and early 90's videogames when their music is mixed to sound like 8-bit or 16-bit.

Anyway, many soundtracks to videogames are amazing: I just adore Harry Gregson-Williams's, Nobuo Uematsu's and other composers' works.
