I know a few of you guys are into your horror movies as are many metal fans.

What are your favourites or maybe favourite horror actors?

I love all of the Hammer Horror films.

Others:

The Shining

The Exorcist

Evil Dead movies were great as well, very tongue in cheek!

Loved the Salems Lot series with David Soul. I'm sure I'll remember more.

Many horror movies seem extremely poor, so I'm not really into them. The Sixth Sense was amazing, although not really horror.

Halloween
Friday the 13th
Alien
Predator
Nightmare on Elm Street

Basically every so called scary movie. I like the ones before 2000 though. I love the music they use.

Exorcist is the only horror movie I still cant watch in the dark alone :(
Damn movie is so freaking visually WTF is going on here! Creepy looking girl DAMN!

Evil Dead

Nightmare On Elm St - Man before the had him cracking jokes "(That ruined the movies I think. Thank god they didn't ruin the 1st one) He was a scary a$$ son of a bit^h!!!!

The Shining

Hell Night

Scanners

The Ring - 1st movie to really creep me out since the Exorcist.
Something about weird looking creepy girls, but that other Japanese knock off didnt scare me for crap?" cant remember the name had a weird boy and girl that made weird noises before they killed you and lived in a crawl space above the house? kinda stunk!

Signs - not really horror but that man can write and direct a really good creepy type movie. watch it every time its on.

The Exorcist is a nasty film in my opinion - good but very unsettling.

I love Hammer horror films and also Vincent price Edgar Allan Poe adaptation movies - 'The Fall of the House of Usher' is a favourite.

I tend to go for the classics rather than modern day gore fests.

Agreed. I can't stand those slasher movies. Classic horror all the way!!!!

One recent-ish film that I enjoyed was 'Van Helsing' because it was a mish-mash of all the classic horror films and done in a tongue in cheeck way. Not a classic film - just good entertainment.

Yeah Van Helsing was enjoyable enough and was even more so due to Kate Beckinsale starring in it. ;)

I can't believe I haven't ever seen this movie all the way through - just snippets. Just noticed when I was looking at the link you posted ID and noticed some kind person has uploaded the whole movie onto youtube. Nice.

I would love to see Nosferatu in a cinema.

Man, that is one of the most creepiest creature in history. He beats nowaday monsters. I should print out a picture and post it on my lil sis wall. Lolz.

Yep I think he's the scariest looking vampire of all time.

HK you asked about actors as well. My 3 faves would be the 'big' 3 from the horror genre I suppose, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price. Not necessarily good actors but great at what they did in the horror context. Vincent Price in particular was brilliant at hamming things up. I watched 'The Raven' and 'Witchfinder General' recently, great movies!!
