hi everyone. what genre/s can one play on a squier telecaster?

Nothing stopping you from playing any genre you want on it. From what I know of them, they are most often used in blues.

John 5 used it for shred.
Also, I've seen Ted Greene use it for Jazz and Classical music.
Those guitars gets a good clean sound.

Decent enough entry level guitars those. You can play any style you want on it though they would be mostly associated with blues or country styles. Quite a few Indie rock players use them as well.

As if it hasn't been said enough times, but you can play anything on any guitar. Jari Mäenpää is known to play death metal with neoclassical influences on a Telecaster.
