Title: Maximum Security Album

IbanezDaemon - April 21, 2010 01:23 PM (GMT)
Released in 1987, 'Maximum Security' was Tony MacAlpine second solo offering and a follow up to the brilliant Edge of Insantiy. Tony also played all bass guitars and keyboards on this album and guitarists George Lynch and Jeff Watson also guested on drums. Neoclassical regular Atma Anur was the drummer.

After Edge of Insanity this album for me had a lot to live up to and it did so admirably. As always I bought this album when it came out and along with Tony's debut album this remains his best release to date. Great album and an essential early NeoClassical album to own!! 10/10.

Greatest Neo-Classical Metal album ever. 10/10 for sure. Some of my favorites include Tears of Sahara, Keys to the City, Sacred Wonder, and Dreamstate.

10/10 for sure - still sounds as awesome today as it did when it was released! Really melodic stuff with some jaw dropping playing all round. George Lynch adds some memorable solos.

Tony Macalpine did some great stuff on this album. I think for someone who's strickly to neo-classical metal, this would be the best neo-classical metal album.
George Lynch surprised me on this album. I don't like his stuff but his solos were great on the album.

I expected to hear more keyboards, but guitar work is astonishing, and I liked very much the songs, it tries not to bore you in every moment. I don't know is there is some jazzy feel, but it seems to be.

10/10.

As you can tell by my name I love this album! TMAC brought something new to Neo-classical metsl. His stuff is very melodic and soothing. The first time I heard Tears of Sahara I was hooked! a 10/10 from me as well!
