Description: And drum parts?

Who are your favourite drummers and what songs have some of your favourite drumming parts in them?

Death always had awesome drumming. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xccD6qlRAKY

Nick Menza of Megadeth fame is an awesome drummer too. Then again, Dave probably wrote most of that :P ... Dave sure is a good drummer. :D

I think Dean Castronovo has to be my favourite metal drummer. I love his work on Friedman's 'Dragon's Kiss'.
Ian Paice from Deep Purple is also amazing technique and feel wise.

I have no idea who my favourites are, but I do remember some exceptional drummers:

The drummer of Andromeda (a Swedish prog metal act) fame, whatever his name may be. Check out the songs The Words Unspoken, Two is One and Reaching Deep Within.

Pete Riley's performance on Guthrie Govan's Erotic Cakes is overkill.

Well, Opeth have had a couple of drummers, but I really enjoy their drum tracks.

Like Hurricane said, Ian Paice has amazing feel.

I actually prefer jazz drummers over all the others, but I can't seem to recall any names right now. Billy Cobham is the only one that comes to mind, though I haven't heard much of his works.

Then there are, of course, all these other mad progressive rock and progressive metal drummers...
