Am I the only person on this site who hates this souless robot of a guitar player?

Had to do a poll because the new topic button wouldn't load for some reason :(

He is - like you said - a robot... a real machine technique-wise. But I give him no credit for songwriting or interesting playing, whatsoever.

And his tone's horrible. Horrible.

By the way, cake.

Good man!

I totally agree with you guys, just....almost soul-less

If only he could write songs like Shawn Lane (Everyone know Shawn Lane is the fastest guitarist to ever write soulful music), He would be great.
Basically he is a robot and Buckethead wrote better songs then he did(Buckethead feigns to be a robot). He took the shred thing to far. He needs to work on his vibrato too. I hate it!
Even his song Dark Matter is boring.

I have a Rusty Cooley album and I think I listened to it once. His playing left me cold and none of the material was that memorable. Having said that I still think he's a technically gifted guitarist and may still have something to offer if he would forget about blindly shredding at breakneck speed all the time. Somebody send him a Vinnie Moore album, that can be his first lesson on how to shred with class!! ;)

Or the Powers of Tens album. That album would really teach him.

I fancy pie at the moment. Rusty Cooly is like a pie with perfectly formed pastry but with no filling = seems good at first but when you look a bit deeper is missing something very important. Substance.
