Title: Street Lethal Album

Street Lethal was the debut album by Racer X. Released in 1986 this band was formed by Paul Gilbert and consisted of GIT graduates. Paul was only 19 tears of age when the album was released and for me this recording features Paul's best guitar work to date. My fave tracks include the title track Street Lethal, Blowin up the Radio and Y.R.O which stands for 'Yngwie Rip Off'. This album is easily in my top 5 fave albums of all time so I'll rate it 10/10.

Y.R.O is one of my favorite song by Paul Gilbert. I never guessed "Yngwie Rip Off" though I think I someone say that before. You're right Paul Gilbert did his best work on that album. His tone was kicking. Sadly, he got a pretty boring tone right now that even when I started to play my guitar I hated the sound.

Good album but I prefer "Second Heat". I'll give it a 8/10

I regret saying that Paul's current tone is horrible. If you guys checked out "Get out of my yard" album, his tone is still great. But the Racer X tone was his best.

Paul Gilbert is one of those guitarists I never really got into. I don't dislike him and what I have heard of him is great, technical difficulties, curse of castle dragon etc
I could just never begin listening to him regularly for some reason.

I really liked this... Paul Gilbert shows an awesome technique. Cool songs who will make you move if you're bored, like that " In...to...the ....NIGHT!!!".
I think they had some fun when they recorded it, and they managed to put it into the songs; good neoclassic songs always with some hard-rock there.
Totally cool album, and underrated.
A 9 for me.

This album is a classic!! Paul Gilbert is not too much the main attraction...sure he is when he burn the fretboard but overall, the songs are very well balanced and each are meant to rock you're ass 80s style! One of the most enjoyable hard rock listen to date for me! A nice and rockin 10
