Jeff Young interview. The reason he is insulting Dave here and telling these stories about him is that Dave Mustaine said in a guitar world interview in december 2009 that he sang some of the solos that went on the albums to every guitarist that has ever been in Megadeth, including chris broderick a couple of times. I refuse beleive Dave came up with any of the lead guitarists solos simply because the guy doesn't even know any guitar scales outside the pentatonic.

All of what Jeff says seems to ring true. I side with Jeff here. I mean, when you have the amount of people who Dave talks trash about, and who he has pissed off then there has to be SOME truth to it.

I started to lose respect for Dave when he started to talk about 9/11 conspiracy bullshit and how he thinks it must have been an inside job.

Jeff Young played on the So Far So Good So what album btw.

Well, Mustaine did write all of Megadeth's stuff back when Jeff Young was a member of the band (though he still does the utmost majority), and I do believe he came up with most of the solos.

However, Mustaine is a political activist, so there's no reason to despise him for raising his voice and expressing his opinion on political matters; I see it completely plausible that the attacks were a fraud, and there was certainly reason for it.

There is no evidence for the attacks being a fraud.

Mustaine writes most of the stuff yea, it's basically Mustaine plus three other random people. However, how can you listen to Friedmans stuff, Chris Polands stuff, Brodericks stuff and then beleive that Mustaine wrote it?

Acousolysis - February 13, 2010 11:01 PM (GMT)
I've always listened to them in the belief that Mustaine wrote them. Maybe not all of the solos, though he might as well have written everything prior to the Rust in Peace lineup.

There is a lot of evidence and even more speculation that the attacks were staged; of course it's not public, more people would turn against the government that way.

Well, the only scale Mustaine knows is the Pentatonic box. He even says this in an interview with Dave Navaro all of which is available on Youtube, the interview is only a few years old. That, plus the fact that each guitarist has had different unique styles makes it impossible for me to beleive Mustaine wrote the solos.

As for the 9/11 thing, you're saying there is evidence for it but it's evidence that noone knows about?

Acousolysis - February 14, 2010 12:29 AM (GMT)
You just basically proved that it's not possible that he came up with every solo; why fear then?

The evidence is unknown to the masses because nobody spreads it. Of course they aren't going to tell internal state conspiracy theories on the news!

You can't find anything if you aren't looking for anything.

Show me this evidence. Link me to a source or something.

Many theories on Wikipedia here. There are limitless sites dedicated to it if you simply google it.

Maybe not, but the info gathered there is collected from various sources, and the Wikipedia article was the first match I got on Google.

It really doesn't matter what the source is: there are tons of them. Besides, even Wikipedia is rather trustworthy. Only an extreme minority of articles there are insecure or somehow biased.

LATE EDIT: Wikipedia is in no way a proper source for legitimate research, but I gave the article a quick look, and it appeared objective enough.

Yes I use it for a quick look on things, but wikipedia's editors are even biased. They leave out or change info, and if you try and fix it you'll get in trouble. It sometimes is trustworthy, mostly not. There is also a reason why its the first thing to pop up on a google search...
