I'd have to say the Trio of Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janik Gers. I just can't put one over the others.

well if i had to pick one, I'd have to say JAMES HETFIELD, i think hes a pretty cool guy, he writes music and doesn't afraid of anything....but to be honest I have no real fav, but I like Angus Young. His extreme simplicity is so good, even though his skill level isn't anywhere near anyone one else we've talked about (besides hetfield) he is probably one of my favs.

Hello everyone!! Good to be on this forum. Found it through a post on the Yngwie Malmsteen fan site.

My favorite non neoclassical guitarist?

For me, this one is easy: Joe Satriani :D I have several of his albums and enjoy all of them. His playing is certainly no neo-classical in any sense, but is, nevertheless, absolutely amazing.

I would say Buckethead. He does some weird stuff.
He does more of experimenting on the guitar than any other guitarist.

Paco De Lucia or Holdsworth probably.

Orzandotl - June 3, 2010 09:43 AM (GMT)
