Uhh... to me it sounded like anything Yngwie does these days, with no real surprises at all.

You may disagree with me, but Yngwie has nothing left to give anymore.

Generally musicians keep analising when they are listening to music like he used this or that scale,a modulation here and there, chord progression etc.
Music to me is about feelings, sensations. If I'm listening to something
which brings me cool sensations like remember of some part of my life, maybe a happy mood or even a sad one,it's good.
If it brings nothing to me but a boring sensation,it's bad.
For decades Yngwie gave me a BORING sensation.
I don't care what technique he's using cause boring is boring in any world. He could be the best guitarist ever still his music tells me nothing.
That's why to me TALENT it's not the quantity of technique you have BUT how you use it.
Yngwie is like so many guitarists who keep playing the same pentatonic boxes,of course he made a lot for guitar but for music,he just mixed classical with rock.
Far away from being a crap player but far away of being the most creative one.
He's stuck in the 80's,till today his music sounds the same,he added nothing to his music, come'n it's impossible that he listens only to himself. We're a mix of everything we listen so if he plays the same stuff for decades,he only listen to the same stuff ever.
Of course when somebody listens to him for the first time he sounds like a demon( :o ) ,when I was 16 I said WOW to him but after listening to the same song through decades,no thanks.
I love progressive and progressive means no rules,no boundaries and especially, you can mix completely different genres.
Which genres Yngwie has in his music ?
Malmstenn genre

I kinda wish Yngwie would stop shredding alot and actually make a song like he did for his classics Black Star and Far beyond the Sun. Now all he does is shred up and down the neck. Not that that is bad. But it's bad to have no melody You guys know what I mean.

In the 80's Yngwie got caught on the MalmTrix !
And it was a long time before the movies.
Yep he was a step ahead everybody
