Title: Yngwie?

ragnarok - November 7, 2009 12:04 AM (GMT)
Just posting out of curiosity, I was checking out DiMarzio's site, and Yngwie isn't listed on there anymore, they even renamed the YJM (now HS-4). I think it's a pretty recent change, any idea what happened? (injury, different endorsement, etc.?)

Try emailing the company. He might have decided to make new pickups. but idk.

It certainly does seem that he has parted company with DiMarzio. It'll be interesting to see who he endorses next. If there's been a fall out he'll probably go Seymour Duncan. I'm taking bets guys!! ;)

Back in the 90's I remember DiMarzio's having HS3.. reckon HS4 is a newer model/variant?

Yeah you're right. The HS4 was formerly known as the YJM model I think until Yngwie severed his ties with DiMarzio. He's gone to Seymour Duncan now:
